Here’s what I made for dinner last night: slow-cooker chicken soup with home-made noodles. The noodles were surprisingly easy (eggs, flour, salt, water – kneaded and rolled out, then cut up into little sticks and boiled in salt water). It was really yummy – and I look forward to having the leftovers today – chicken soup is yummier on the second day!
My Valentine’s present/Coach bag arrived – and I love it. The leather is soft, and the different pink shades are beautiful. I can’t wait to start using it.
I also received my Well.ca order. I love using Burts Bees products, but most stores (Shoppers Drug Mart, Loblaws, Walmart) only carry a limited range of items – so I have to go online to get the items I need. On the right are 3 new Burts Bees products that I’m trying – their Radiance face wash and serum, and their Volumising shampoo. I also purchased a Kiss My Face Volumising shampoo, as I read that it is good to alternate shampoos. I’ve never tried Kiss My Face products before – I chose it because it is also sulfate-free. On the left are the raw ingredients for my detox bath salts. I found the recipe online – you use sea salts, Epsom salts, baking soda, glycerin and essential oils. It is lovely to customise your bath experience – and I always feel refreshed after using this mix. I bought Rose Otto, Lavender and Rosemary Essential Oils.
Wow – this is turning in to a long post – guess I have a lot of catching up to do! I trudged through the snow on Tuesday to go to the mall – I desperately needed some retail therapy. I picked up a maxi dress from Old Navy, a yoga outfit and this sweater. The girly style reminds me of J Crew’s look from last season – and the colour (a peachy/salmony pink) is very cheerful and flattering.
I also bought these gladiator sandals from Payless – I love the studs and black crystals. I think these would look great with skinny jeans…when spring finally gets here!
