Holiday Party Outfit Ideas – RW&CO Sequin Cocktail Dress

For the second post in my Holiday Outfit Ideas series I’m sharing the ULTIMATE holiday outfit – a gold sequin cocktail dress!

Sequins are the perfect choice for a sparkly holiday party – especially for New Year’s Eve. I’ve tried on a lot of sequin dresses recently and this RW&CO sequin cocktail dress stood out because of the fabric and design. The sequins are a matte gold – so they look really luxe. The dress design is unique – it has a flowy top, open back and fitted skirt. FYI I went up a size in this dress, as I don’t like wearing anything too snug around my waist.

You might think that a sequin dress would only work for special occasions – but you can actually get a lot of wear out of your dress, with some strategic styling. This dress is especially suited for layering, as the drapey top-half looks cute as a blouse, and the fitted bottom half can also double up as a pencil skirt! My only advice would be to pick thicker layers to camouflage the sequin fabric underneath.
