Question of the month: Please share a picture of your engagement ring and tell us the story behind it.
I don’t have a proposal story because when my husband and I started dating, it wasn’t a question of IF we were going to get married, but WHEN. Within 2 months we were already planning our future together – and we married 2 years after our first date. So while I missed out on the whole surprise proposal aspect (no stories to tell my grandkids LOL!) – I’m grateful for the level of certainty in our relationship.
We bought my ring from Hirsh in Hatton Gardens in 2002. It’s a pink diamond set in rose gold prongs, flanked by 2 white diamonds on a platinum band. As soon as I tried it on we knew it was THE ONE as it is *so* me. I used it as both my engagement and wedding ring. I love that it is delicate, subtle and most importantly PINK and ROSE GOLD!

Pink diamond is so you Ella! Certainty in a relationship is better than a grand proposal. xx
Thanks Parveen -I guess the proposal was quite reflective of our relationship 🙂
Your ring is beautiful! I'm a new follower.
Thanks Becky – and thanks for following 🙂
I agree with Parveen, you guys were certain and nothing is more precious than that :)I love how unique your ring is! I love the pink diamond. I bet it glows! So pretty.
I love my pink diamond so much – it's the most beautiful shade of light pink (hard to capture on the camera) – as soon as we saw it, there was no going back LOL!
That's so great you had that amount of certainty! Gorgeous ring Ella!
Thanks Skylette 🙂
So pretty and unique !!! I love that you guys just knew you would be together 🙂 so sweet !
Thanks Mehreen – there were so many signs we were meant to be together – even before we met – I honestly believe it's fate 🙂
Your ring is SO you!! so delicate and beautiful. Love the rose gold and pink too–absolutely perfect for you!!!
Thanks Andi – it was like it was designed for me – I love rose gold SO much!
A pink diamond?! That's amazingly beautiful, I had no idea they even existed.
Neither did I until we started looking at engagement rings – apparently they are from Australia. Once I knew they existed, there was no turning back!
your ring is so unique and beautiful! i love that you used it as both your engagement and band, i thought about doing that too and that's what my mother has done as well.
Thanks Kristen – I had planned on getting a rose gold band with diamonds – but it just looked too pretty on its own, so we decided to keep it that way 🙂
Love the rose gold & the pink diamond! My fiance proposed to me ring-less because he wanted to make sure i liked the one he picked out! We got up at 6am the next day & drove to LA so I could see it & of course I loved it!! It was perfect because it was from him :)xoxo Shauna
Just checked out your engagement ring on your blog – so sparkly and beautiful – love the halo and the diamonds on the band – your fiance picked out an AMAZING ring – congratulations on your engagement 🙂
Aww, love your engagement/love story. Your ring is beautiful! Pink diamond…that is so neat! The ring is so you, very pretty! xo
Thanks Lilly – my family really loved my ring because it was perfect for me – I grew up wanting EVERYTHING pink LOL!
Love your rose gold/pink ring – it's beautiful and very unique. My husband and I got engaged when we were on a trip in the Caribbean. He proposed on a day trip to this small little island called the Virgin Gorda. It was very romantic! Only non-romantic part of the day was the fact that I got sea sick on our way to the island – gross, I know! The proposal definitely made up for my illness! lol…Meganhttp://budgetfashion101.blogspot.ca/
Getting engaged on a trip to the Caribbean sounds so romantic! I so want to go on a Caribbean holiday!
