Florals for Spring? Groundbreaking…

Although some consider florals in Spring to be a cliché… I prefer to think of it as classic! And what could be more classic than a flared floral midi skirt – it’s so feminine and pretty.

Despite unexpected snowfall in Spring (!!!), we’ve had some warmer days so I was able to enjoy wearing this skirt – I even wore it when I headed downtown for Toronto Fashion Week!

I paired my floral outfit with these dainty Alex & Ani jewelry pieces. I love how each piece has “special” properties – the clover charm is meant to attract fortune and prosperity, while the garnet wrap brings radiance, and the Swarovski Crystal Pendant is infused with light.

This skirt is my fourth midi – I also have a black skirt and two floral dresses (1 / 2). It’s not a trend I’d ever thought I’d embrace (I’m more of a skinny-jeans-wearer) but I’m loving it!

Do you own any flared midi skirts?

DISCLAIMER: Alex and Ani Jewelry was gifted by their PR, I got to choose the pieces I wanted to try.

Yes – you totally need to add some florals into the mix! But you are definitely queen of midis <3

You look so pretty Zeba! Did I pin this one? If not I need to! I don't have florals in the form of a midi, but I do love the look. I haven't worn a midi skirt in over a year, but hopefully I can fit into the one I adore by topshop now that I'm eating better. And by the way, I love the title of the post. Reminds me of Laura from buy now, blog later! I think she uses this term lol

Ha ha – the title of my post is a famous line from The Devil Wears Prada – maybe Laura loved it as much as I did 🙂 I think midis would look so pretty on you – can't wait to see how you'd style it <3

Thanks! I haven't seen too many flared maxi skirts – but perhaps eshakti would let you custom order an ankle length version of one of their flared skirts. Also – pastel dress party has some super long skirts too! But in plain fabric, not printed. Will def keep an eye out for you!
