Cottage culture is huge in Ontario – as soon as the weather turns warm, we get together with family and friends for weekends away at a cottage. We usually end up renting a cottage for 2-3 weekends every summer…and it always takes me forever to pack. To speed things up – I came up with 5 categories that I need to pack for – and it’s made packing so much easier for me! Here are the five outfits to pack for a weekend at the cottage:

CATEGORY 1 – Exploring local shops
It’s always fun to pack a pretty dress and comfortable sandals for days when you’re exploring local attractions – we usually end up visiting antique markets and ice cream shops.

CATEGORY 2 – Barbecues with friends
Food always tastes yummier at the Cottage – my Barbecue essentials are: cute sunnies, my 40 oz water bottle and a chic top + jeans.

CATEGORY 3 – Hiking and country walks
We love exploring the local countryside – and comfort is key for long walks. I like to bring activewear, a cover up (depending on the weather you can pick a denim jacket or something lighter), a crossbody bag and comfy sneakers.

CATEGORY 4 – Lounging and catching up on reading
This is my favourite category of clothing – cozy outfits for lounging around the house, reading books and playing board games with family. I love the Spanx AirEssentials range, and ROOTS hoodies are a Canadian institution.

CATEGORY 5 – Beach days
For beach days, I love this range of reversible floral swimsuits that are popular on Amazon. I pair them with stretchy cover up pants, sturdy sandals and a large tote.
