How my style has changed & Monthly Must-Reads

Question of the month from Alison & Noelle: How would you describe your own personal style? How has it evolved over the years?

THEN (Pics from 8 years ago):

  • Delicate jewelry, floral prints, cheap & cheerful bags
Outfit details here: Navy Polka Dots / Sequin Top / Gingham Shirt  / Chambray Shirt / Blazer / Lace Dress

NOW

  • Statement necklaces, polka dot or gingham prints, lots of layering, luxe bags

 UNCHANGED:

  • Simplicity & comfort – I’ll always wear jeans + flats.
  • Making an effort to look well-groomed…I’m not really into sweats and I ALWAYS do my hair & make-up before leaving the house.
  • Loving my handbags and switching them out frequently.

Has your style changed over the years? What do you wear now that you never thought you would?

I loved how you answered this! I think mine is a little too complicated and wordy! You look great Ella, I love your style so much! I should, it's very similar to mine 😉 I think comfort and looking well groomed are really important. A beautiful handbag is a must as well. Loved this question, as it's very interesting!

Your answer was amazing – definitely not too wordy – and I identified a LOT with what you wrote 🙂

I'm loving these posts since it's so interesting to see how things have (or haven't) changed. Based on your collage, it looks like you gravitate towards a certain colour palette too!xo, alison*elle

Wow – now that you mentioned it – there's definitely a lot of navy going on :-)I always love pink though I don't wear it as much these days – and cream will be a forever favorite!

I agree with noelle, I like how you broke it down to answer this. You have a great classic sense of style too.

Thanks Schnelle – sometimes I find it easier to convey my thoughts when I break it down into bullet points LOL!

Your clothes were worn much looser in the then. Clothes were much baggier then, but I love you in a fitted silhouette. Show off your fabulous figure!

Thanks – I think I pay more attention to fit now then I did back then (of course you're right – styles have changed too since then!)

It's amazing when we look back and see how much our style has changed:-) Sometimes, I can't believe what I wore, but then style evolves as we do:-)
