Do you notice a theme in your closet? If you follow me on Instagram – you must have noticed that I have a weakness for lace! In today’s post, I’m featuring some of my fashion favourites – so not only will there be lace dresses, but I’ll also be sharing ruffles and tweed too!
Let’s start with a relatively new favourite – ruffle puffed sleeves. This is my new favourite type of sleeve, because it’s very flattering, comfortable and feminine. I highly recommend this white wrap blouse from Chicwish, as it’s the perfect top to pair with flared skirts. It ties at the waist, so you don’t have to worry about tucking it in, and the embossed fabric would match practically any skirt you own!
Now on to tweed jackets…I’m a little scared to go into my closet and count how many tweed jackets I own – if I had to guess, I’d say seven (!!!) This may seem like a lot, but I’ve picked them up over the last 5 years – I LOVE how they look with distressed jeans and a tank. I found this pale pink jacket at Saks Off 5Th (mine is a size 2). It’s from the Karl Lagerfield line, so it’s very Chanel-inspired – and it was such a great price too! I also found these pink Gucci-esque loafers, they were around $30 in store!
This lace dress is from Chicwish…their lace dresses are my favourite for travelling in, as the fabric is very durable (you don’t have to worry about snagging or unravelling) and they’re easy to launder – no need to steam or iron them! With regards to sizing, I vary between a small and a medium in Chicwish dresses (I ALWAYS check the measurements for each piece I order – read my tips here). This dress is a small, but the top part is actually a bit big on me – it still looks great but it gives the dress a more casual look – so I thought I’d share this info in case you’re thinking of ordering this dress too!
This lace dress is from Ever New – I went to their grand opening event at Square One and picked out this complete outfit (dress/bag/earrings). They had so many gorgeous outfits to choose from…and they were ALL my style – which made it SO hard (I also loved THIS blue dress). In the end, I felt justified picking this dress because the square neckline + handkerchief hem made it stand out from the other lace dresses I own.
