In honour of the Sephora Savings Event, I went through my everyday makeup and skincare and ONLY picked out the products I’m truly obsessed with! Hope this helps if you’re planning on shopping the sale – read on to see why these are my faves.
MAKEUP
Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush in Joy – This blush is everything it has been hyped up to be – SO pigmented, blends out beautifully and VERY long-lasting.
Fenty Beauty Match Stix Matte Contour Skinstick in Truffle – My favourite product for nose-contouring – shows up on my skin and blends out without any harsh lines
Benefit Cosmetics WANDERful World Silky-Soft Powder Blush – The BEST range of powder blushes – so glowy and flattering – my favourite shades are Butterfly, Sunny and Crystah.
Benefit Cosmetics Cookie Powder Highlighter – Finely milled powder that adds the perfect amount of long-lasting glow – I use it on the inner corner of my eyes and down the bridge of my nose.
Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation – my classic go-to foundation – provides full coverage and matches my skin tone exactly (I wear shade 3W2 Cashew).
stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner – Micro Tip – easiest eyeliner to apply – rich black colour (not watery) and it doesn’t budge!
Too Faced Mini Lip Injection Maximum Plump Extra Strength Hydrating Lip Plumper – I apply this and trace around my plumped up lips with lipliner – I feel like this technique makes my lips look bigger all day.
Benefit Cosmetics Super Setter Setting Spray – makes sure all my careful contouring and highlighting stays in place – I spray it all over once my makeup is complete – and it really helps my makeup last all day.
Benefit Cosmetics 24-HR Brow Setter Clear Brow Gel – I’ve tried a LOT of popular brow gels this year (REFY, Patrick TA, NYX) and nothing works better than this – once I shape my brows with this, they will NOT budge. Really makes the most of my brows – makes them look thick and fluffy.
Benefit Cosmetics Precisely, My Brow Pencil Waterproof Eyebrow Definer – I always come back to this brow pencil – the ultra-fine tip makes it easy to fill in sparse areas while looking very natural.
SKINCARE
Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant – this product is a cult-favourite, so once Paula’s Choice came to Sephora Canada, I HAD to give it a try. It’s a gentle exfoliant that clears congestion and leaves you with glowy skin. I noticed an immediate difference in skin clarity and radiance – so it has became a skincare staple. I use it every morning after washing my face, before layering on my serums.
The Ordinary Multi-Peptide + HA Serum – this serum used to be called “the Buffet” and is one of the Ordinary’s most effective serums – the peptides and Hyaluronic Acid help with skin elasticity, texture and wrinkles. I like it because it’s an easy way to target multiple skin concerns in one easy and gentle step.
Dermalogica BioLumin-C Vitamin C Serum – Vitamin C has many proven skincare benefits (fights free radicals, promotes collagen, reduces wrinkles) but many of the serums I’ve tried have been too strong for my skin. This one is gentle yet effective – I use it every other morning.
Benefit Cosmetics The POREfessional Deep Retreat Pore-Clearing Kaolin Clay Mask – this mask has helped clear up my jawline congestion – I steam my face and neck, and apply it twice a week. I had a lot of sore under-the-skin acne, and this has dried them out!
