cabi Fall 2020 + How to Style Houndstooth Trousers

I have some exciting news to share – I’m continuing my collaboration with cabi, and will be working with them as a cabi Fall 2020 ambassador!

I loved working with cabi as a Spring ambassador – and am so excited that I got to share my faves from their new collection with you. I fell in love with the cabi Fall 2020 collection as soon as I saw the previews on Instagram. So many pretty fabrics and textures – and all the pieces can be mixed and matched to cover a wide variety of occasions and temperatures.

Here’s a peek at some of my faves from the cabi Fall 2020 collection so far  – including this emerald cord jacket, puff sleeve white turtleneck sweater and dark florals dress.

For my first outfit Fall cabi outfit post, I picked this flouncy white portrait blouse paired with these fresh black and white houndstooth trousers.  It’s a great transitional look as it’s light enough for the end of Summer, and you can add a cardigan to make it Fall appropriate.

[Sizing note – these trousers come in two lengths: long and regular. I’m 5’4 and wearing a size 2 regular]

I own a lot of plaid clothing – but these are my first pair of houndstooth trousers – and I’m surprised by how versatile they are! Here are some other outfit ideas for styling houndstooth trousers:

option 1: paired with the portrait blouse for the end of the summer

option 2: paired with a black turtleneck for a classic fall/winter work look

option 3: paired with a white puffed sleeve turtleneck sweater for a cozy casual look

Do you own any houndstooth clothing? Which look is your fave?

I love how you styled these looks! They all look so chic and professional! I thought it would be much harder to style the houndstooth pattern, but it goes with so much!

Thanks Eileen – me too – I didn’t realize how versatile houndstooth was before either!
