I’ve found the best brow gel for laminated brows – Benefit 24-HR Brow-Setter Clear Brow Gel! Brows make such a difference to your face. I’m currently loving the look of fuller brows – so today I’m sharing my laminated brow tutorial. It only takes four steps and two products to go from my slim natural brows to the fuller fluffy brows pictured above.
Step 1 – Apply several light coats of Benefit 24-HR Brow-Setter Clear Brow Gel.
I’ve purchased and tried out MANY popular brow products including: NYX Brow Glue, Patrick Ta Brow Shaping Wax, ELF Brow Lift, and REFY Brow Sculpt Shape and Hold Gel. Some of these products are thicker and lift my brows up immediately – but the effects never last and my brow hairs drop down within 3-4 hours. A lot of them also leave visible white flakes on the brows – not a cute look!
The best brow gel for laminated brows is the Benefit 24-HR Brow-Setter Clear Brow Gel. It has a learning curve – but once you figure out how to use it properly – your brows stay in place ALL day. They will not budge until you wash them off.
This brow gel has a thinner formula – which is where people can get confused and give up on it – because they think it doesn’t work. You need to apply 2-3 light coats on your brows to get them to stay up – with an interval in between each coat. Usually by the second coat, my brows stick straight up!
Step 2 – Use a spoolie to smooth down any spiky pieces, so that your brows look tidy. I love the built-in spoolie on my Benefit Precisely, My Brow Pencil Waterproof Eyebrow Definer. Think of the Brow Gel as a thin but powerful glue, so work fast to get the shape you want, because once the product dries, your brow hairs will be locked in that position.
Step 3 – Use Benefit Precisely, My Brow Pencil Waterproof Eyebrow Definer to fill in any visible gaps in your brows. I love the ultra-fine tip of this pencil, as you can use it to draw on hair-like strokes. I prefer the pencil formula to felt-tip ones as it is easy to blend away any mistakes.
Step 4 – Use the spoolie end of the Benefit Precisely, My Brow Pencil Waterproof Eyebrow Definer to blend in the pencil for a softer look. When it comes to Brow Pencil colour, I like to pick something slightly lighter than my brow hairs, so that my finished look doesn’t feel too dark or heavy.
So there are the steps I use to get full and fluffy brows! I have one last tip to share – do your brows BEFORE your foundation. Once your brows are set, use a damp cotton pad to clean up any sticky residue around your brows so that your foundation applies smoothly. I’ve found that when I’ve applied my brow gel AFTER foundation, it can leave residue on your foundation and make it look patchy.
