Thoughts on the Royal Wedding

I didn’t plan on it but I stayed up all night watching the Royal Wedding – and it was worth it. I’ve always admired Kate – but I couldn’t believe her grace and poise through the ceremony. While William appeared slightly nervous, Kate exuded calmness and serenity- as if she was born for this role.

I’m obsessed with finding out the actual products she used for her wedding make-up (not just suggested items for a similar look). This is what I’ve discovered so far:
Nails: a custom blend which included Essie’s 423 Allure and Bourjois’ no. 28 Rose Lounge.
Perfume:  White Gardenia Petals by Illuminum
Mascara: Lancome Hypnose (not confirmed but she recently stocked up on this)
Foundation: Laura Mercier oil-free tinted moisturiser (not confirmed but she recently purchased this)
Blush: ??? She has recently purchased a lot of Bobbi Brown products. The specific products she used have been released and are posted here.
Lips: ????

My second obsession was Pippa Middleton at the wedding – how gorgeous did she look? Her dress was amazing and she just radiated beauty. The Middleton sisters really know how to carry themselves.

I know I’m not the only one who thinks that Harry and Pippa would be the perfect match!

Also looking pretty: Earl Spencer’s daughters/William’s maternal cousins.

What did you think of the Royal Wedding? Comment if you know what make-up Kate used on the day – especially her lip colour.

I can't stop looking at photos from today! Absolutely beautiful and Kate did a wonderful job with her makeup. Kate's mom looked stunning, too. Good genes in the Middleton family! Pippa was just, wow. I, too, was awfully disappointed in Chelsy Davy… that was custom made?! Here's to hoping her evening gown was much better!

I'm not sure about the makeup (although I doubt the tinted moisturiser) but this is the perfume she wore:http://www.roullierwhite.com/🙂

Ashley – I'm off to look for the after party photos now :-)Dempss01 – thanks for the link about the perfume. You're probably right – she probably used a heavier foundation for the wedding.Sylvia – I think it's the teeth and the hair…and Becks usually looks so good!

Aside from the pre-wedding coverage (which I was getting tired of) once the day I arrived I do admit getting exciting to watch the recap. Kate look beautiful & I've read the same about the products she used. Would like to know which blush she used too!

Am I the only that was not really impressed with the wedding dress? I thought her sister looked gorgeous.

What a beautiful wedding! I love the idea of wearing a hat to a wedding but some of those hats are really atroscious.

Monica – I wasn't that into the pre-wedding coverage either – but I'm so glad I watched the event live.A loves J – I think there are a lot of people who didn't love the dress. For me – I wouldn't have chosen it for myself, but I loved it on her because it suited her style so well. She really stayed true to herself and her aesthetics.Lindy – I know….I'm not a big Philip Treacy fan – he's supposed to be high fashion, but a lot of his work is too "out there" for me to appreciate.

Hi Ella, thanks so much for stopping by my blog. I love meeting Canadian bloggers. I actually did not any part of the total wedding, but you provided a nice summary of all the outfits, I didn't know that kaye's sister was so hot and yes, she does look so much better suited for prince Harry then that floozy he is with. Btw- your blog is very enjoyable to read and you have a new follower! Thanks so much for the post!
