Fall sweaters are so addictive – there are a lot of fun design details available this season: puffed sleeves, ruffled trim and squared-off necklines. But I’m trying to be strategic when adding to my wardrobe – because sweaters take up a LOT of room – especially when I fold them to store away!

Outfit details: hat / cabi Tuck Turtleneck / cabi Button Fly Skinny Jeans in Caramel / bag
However, the cabi Tuck Turtleneck sweater in Pearl is definitely worth making space for – it’s my favourite Fall sweater of all time – and here’s why:
- It’s the perfect shade of creamy white – it looks cute with jeans, but is also very elegant and easy to dress up
- The sleeves have just the right amount of puff to look feminine – but not so dramatic that they’ll look outdated in the future
- The fabric isn’t bulky – so it will layer easily under outerwear. I’ve owned some impractical sweaters (like this one) that wouldn’t fit under a coat at all!
- Finally – the turtleneck collar is firm and stands at the right height. Some turtlenecks are too floppy and end up looking like a cowl neck, while some collars are too tall to wear unfolded yet look unflattering when folded.
It seems like a lot of picky little details – but it’s nice to have a classic sweater that doesn’t need any adjusting and looks cute as soon as you put it on!
I paired the sweater with cabi Button Fly Skinny cord pants. The colour is very autumnal – a rich caramel colour with touches of orange. It has a high rise, skinny fit with a button fly to give it the perfect retro/vintage vibe. (Sizing reference: I’m wearing an XS in the sweater and a size 2 in the cords).
Do you have a favourite Fall sweater? What does it look like?
