Just a quick post sharing some recent outfits and finds…
First up is an H&M Conscious Collection dress – this was the outfit I ended up choosing for my family party. I don’t LOVE it, but: it has a fun & colorful print…I couldn’t find anything better … AND it only cost $24.95:
I also picked up 3 button down shirts – the top 2 were $20 and the bottom one was on sale for $10. I love H&M button downs – and was excited to find them at such great prices (previously I’ve paid up to $35 for their shirts).
Today’s outfit was also from H&M, although I think the dress is from last year. It’s very light & comfy, and I love the draped design.
Here’s a purchase I’m still debating: Nike Flex Run sneakers on sale for $59 at Winners. I loved the hot pink color and unique perforated sole (close up image here) which makes the shoe VERY light weight. However, my sister said that this batch of sneakers must have ended up at Winners for a reason – and they might not provide enough support. I’ve been looking up reviews online – but am confused by all the technical running terms (“natural gait” and “barefoot-style running”) LOL! I’ll mainly use them on the elliptical & when traveling, so perhaps I shouldn’t worry so much! And did I mention they were hot pink? That should be reason enough to keep them, right?
Do you buy things just because they are a cute color?
I can never get over how drop dead gorgeous you are! I personally LOVE the conscious collection dress on you! H&M always comes out with a handful of iconic dresses a year, and that is definitely one of them. You look very pretty!I also can't believe how long your hair is! I'm very envious 😉
You're too sweet Noelle! You're right – this H&M dress is very distinctive. The print is not really in my comfort zone but I LOVE the color scheme – and I feel happy when I wear it 🙂
I love the floral dress!!it suits you amazing!
Thank you! I couldn't believe how reasonably priced it was 🙂
That floral dress is so pretty, love the colours! x
Thanks! The color scheme is definitely what attracted my attention when I saw it on the clothes rack 🙂
That dress from H&M is amazing and what a great deal! One can never have to many button down shirts :)Your hair….ah-mazing. So long and beautiful. You look stunning my friend.
Yes – we can never have too many button down shirts – now that it's warming up, I find myself more drawn to button-downs than t-shirts…they're comfy but more dressed up :-)I usually get tired of my hair and cut it off before it gets too long – but the hair products I'm currently using keep it tangle free, so it's not really bugging me yet LOL!
The Nike's you are looking at are definitely more geared towards running than training at a gym. They are a "barefoot-style running" means that height of the sole has dramatically decreased and the rest of the sole has been changed as well. These shoes are supposed to give you the same feel when you run as if you were actually running barefoot, therefore there will be much less support. Barefoot running uses different muscles than running with traditional running shoes and some say it is healthier and more natural. It is strongly recommended that runners ease their way into the barefoot running style by incorporating barefoot running shoes every few runs and increasing the use as your body adjusts. The Nike Flex Runs are really geared towards running and not training. I would look for a shoe that is more focused on training than one specific type of running. Many people do use barefoot running shoes at the gym and they usually choose them for the looks or the brand. Also, everyone flocks towards Nike but they really aren't the best sneaker brand. The running store I worked out usually never recommended Nike. I would look into Saucony, New Balance, Asics, etc. If you are set on Nikes the only type we really recommended were the Nike LunarGlides, which are more geared towards training than running. Hope this helps!
That really was SO HELPFUL! Thank you for explaining everything so clearly to me – it makes TOTAL sense now! I do have a pair of New Balance trainers that I use in the gym…they may not be as cute and hot pink as these Nike ones, but maybe I should stick to them after all LOL!I've heard of the LunarGlides range from some other blog friends – will definitely check that range out too! Thanks again for this comment – I've been spending so much time googling reviews trying to decipher what people were trying to say LOL! Why can't everyone else write as clearly as you 🙂
I don't know much about trainers let alone the technical terms but they look reallllly cute so I would keep them 😀 http://www.101FashionStreet.com
Ha ha – you don't know how many things I've purchased just because they're cute..including my pink laptop LOL! But so far, so good 😉
I love that H&M dress!!!www.taylorricefashion.blogspot.com
Thanks 🙂
Haha I definately am more into buying something if it has a cute colour- isn't everyone? And when it comes in 2 cute colours I have to have both haha :p Great post! And I really love the white dress on you btw – maybe an outfitpost in the making? :)xxxlifeisroyalty.blogspot.com
I know what you mean – I often pic both BOTH colors too (as seen in the 2 stripey shirts I bought from H&M above – I got the pink & blue versions…but managed to talk myself out of the purple one LOL!)
