Plaid, Fur & Blazers + Clothing Giveaway!

For my professional photoshoot last month, I brought a lot of my own outfits to photograph – but I was also given the opportunity to pick out a piece to wear from the Miik range. Apparently, I’m ALL about red these days so I chose this Emily soft blazer.

Miik is 100% Canadian clothing brand, with all items manufactured in the GTA. They use sustainable fabrics, such as rayon made from Bamboo. Not only are the materials eco-friendly, they are durable – so each piece should last you a long time. Miik has kindly offered one Ella Pretty Blog reader a $100 giftcard, so that they can pick out something from their site!!! If you’re in Canada, click through here to enter!

Speaking of red pieces – I’ve been loving my Cherry Red Rebecca Minkoff Love Clutch – I’ve paired it here with a soft pink coat and my favourite blanket scarf.

And I’ve worn it here as a cross-body with my black & white skirt.

This was one of the rare days when the weather was just right for my fur vest – usually I’m either too hot or too cold!

And now that it’s gone from “pleasantly cool” to “freezing my face off!”, I’ve really been appreciating my new pampering shower routine. I was sent these luxury bath products to try out – and now bath time feels like spa time!

Decleor Aroma Nutrition Exfoliator Dry Oil Body Cream

I start by using the Decleor 1000-Grain Body Exfoliator. The scrub combines natural granules (from Argan, Sugar and Orange Peel) with fruit acids, to gently remove dead skin cells. The granules seem to activate pressure points on the surface of your skin…it feels so relaxing, like a mini-massage! Bonus – the tube comes with step-by-step instructions on how to apply the scrub. After you rinse off, you could choose to either apply the Body Cream or the Dry Oil.  Both are infused with oil of Frankincense (so seasonally appropriate) and they smell heavenly! They hydrate dry winter skin, and since they absorb instantly, your skin is never greasy.

All three products are very concentrated and effective – you only need a small amount to get long-lasting results – and your skin stays scented all day! I would definitely recommend sampling these products the next time you pass a Decleor counter – especially the Body Cream…it smells AMAZING! I do wish the body oil was packaged differently though – having a smooth glass bottle in a wet shower is NOT a good idea! After one near slip, I always hold the bottle with both hands while spraying it on. (Decleor is available in Canada at www.decleor-ca.com and select Hudson’s Bay Locations).

Have you ever tried any Decleor products?

You look beautiful in that red blazer! Red and pink are definitely your colors – they suit you well! Right now, I'm sick with a sinus infection and my skin is bone dry. I don't think it's ever been this severe. I blame the California drought! I am in search of extremely nourishing products.
