The good thing about cold weather is that you can hide a lot under cute outerwear. Your sweater can be nearing the end of its wearable life (guilty…) but as long as you’re wearing a bright scarf and a well-fitting jacket – nobody will notice!

This week’s “Ten Take Fall” Collab asks “What are your must-have/staple items for Fall?”
It seems like most bloggers have a specific uniform for Fall – cozy outerwear, blanket scarves and tall boots. There is
some variation – rainboots versus over-the-knee suede boots, moto jacket
versus thick cardigans, but the overall look is the same. Sticking to this uniform is a little bit basic but it works for me! Here’s a closer look at my choices:
1) Outerwear – this year I’m loving fitted Moto faux leather jackets – I have this style in black and another in pink. Although mine is from Romwe, it’s identical in style to the ones available at ZARA.
2) Blankets Scarves – I’m glad the blanket scarf trend is still going strong this year (I’ve stocked up like crazy) but I’m also not surprised. Blanket scarves are so practical – they weigh nothing but are SO warm and cozy. I always travel with at least 3 blanket scarves – my kiddies and I use them as wraps on the plane! Click here for different ways to style a blanket scarf (including wearing it as a poncho) and here for tips on how to tie it.
3) Boots – I’m loving these brightly coloured Kamik rainboots (compared them to my Hunter boots here). I was worried that red boots would be too bright, and that they wouldn’t match the rest of my Fall wardrobe – but they’re surprisingly versatile! I’ve also picked up these over-the-knee boots and will be sharing outfit pics with them soon!

Those are really great red boots!! And I agree. Blanket scarves are even better for travel because of all their great practical uses on top of being extra warm and nice to look at!Carylee | http://morepiecesofme.com
Yes – they are crazy warm and take such little room in my suitcase – will always travel with them 🙂
I totally love your outfit, however i would love to wear an ankle boots neutral color or black perhaps. But anyways you rock it all gurl ^^www.itsbeyondimaginations.blogspot.com
Thank you! Neutral ankle boots sound pretty!
So in love with the color of your boots!
Thanks – I love how bright they are!
Love this classic Fall look, you can never go wrong with these staples.xo PinkSole
So glad you like it 🙂
I love how you break down the "Basic Blogger" fall style. And it's true! But you also do a great job of putting your own spin on the basics with the way you accessorize. That moto jacket looks SO good on you!Gina || On the Daily Express
Ha ha – I feel like a walking cliche…but this is definitely practical and not just trendy, so I have no shame adapting it 🙂
These red boots are amazing :)xxMónica SorsMES VOYAGES À PARISNEW POST: WORKING GIRL TRENDY OUTFITNEW POST: BOMBER, SNEAKERS AND ROAD TRIP
Thank you!
Lol, I love basics way too much! My whole wardrobe consists of them! You look perfectly warm and sweet in this outfit. I wish we experienced Fall here like you guys do. I'm jealous!
We both love our basics – it just makes it easier to get dressed <3
I love my leather riding boots for fall. Got mine in Italy years ago and still going strong. I also love my sweater jackets as I refuse to wear a coat until it snows :DYou look adorable in the combo you are wearing 🙂 I love how you played the red shades. I must be the only person who does not get the blanket scarf craze. I'm from Ottawa (so def cold) but the one blanket scarf I do have, I only wear in the air plane when I travel internationally.
LOL – It's too funny about not getting the blanket scarf craze…I think I love them because I get cold very easily – and as long as I have a blanket scarf, I know I can cover up completely and stay warm…and if I feel hot, I just let it hang down on either side and it's not heavy so I don't even know it's there – it's like insurance for me 🙂
Blanket scarfs are so versatile and def part of any closet staple! You look beautiful.~ xo ShereePosh Classy MomInstagram
Thanks Sheree!
