My close friends and I have been talking about how important it is to be mindful of who you chose to spend your time with. One quote that has resonated with us is: “The person you will be in 5 years is decided by the people you spend time with and the books you read today.”

Choose your girlfriends carefully – it’s important to surround yourself with people who will support and inspire you. My life has been blessed with inspiring best friends – in university, my best friend Maya encouraged me to build my resume and arrange summer internships – which helped me land my dream job. My high school best friend Nancy is a life coach – and I continue to learn so much from her about attracting positive energy into my life.
My first best friend is someone who I’ve been lucky enough to know since the day I was born – my sister! She has always looked out for me…warning me off friends who were really “frenemies” in disguise. Like a classic older sister, she makes a HUGE deal out of any of my accomplishments – which makes me feel super special.
Hillberg & Berk is a Canadian jewelry brand that believes in
empowering women. They support women through education, inspiration and
opportunity, and contribute to charitable organizations both locally and internationally. They recently gifted me with two pairs of their iconic Sparkle Ball earrings. One
for me, and one to celebrate an exceptional woman in my life. Naturally,
I chose to share my sparkle with my sister – and gifted her the clear
crystal pair when she came to visit this past weekend. We love our matching earrings – thank you Hillberg and Berk!
Who are the exceptional women in your life?
You look radiant! Girlfriends are vital, and I have kept my circle tight for years. Just like any relationship, hard work is involved. It's easy to get lost in daily routines and lose sight of people in the process but true friends are hard to find so keep them close!
I love everything about this outfit – your sense of style is amazing!Close friends are so important. I don't know where I would be without my friends. I have also had some friendship "break-ups" over the years and they hurt just as bad as romantic break-ups. However, now I know all the friendships I have are for life and I can trust these people whatever happens. Friendships are definitely about quality, not quantity.
This is such a great post! I totally agree with you that you will be highly influenced by the people you spend the most time with. I feel like that's a big realization a lot of people have in their twenties and you really have to take a step back and assess the quality of people you keep in your life. Ciarawww.ciarasalloum.com
