Sharing a dream dress today – the AW bridal Thalia Convertible dress in Blue Botanical Floral. This is a dress that can be worn through all seasons – from summer garden parties to frosty winter events – this colour scheme and design is so very versatile!
The Thalia dress is an A-line floor-length dress with a ruched bodice and a built-in bra. The convertible aspect is in the sleeves – which can be worn three ways: off-the-shoulder (as seen in these pics), covering the shoulder (for a puff sleeve effect), or removed completely and worn strapless. It’s made of a light flowy chiffon that you can handwash (you can find the fabric care instructions here).
I wore this dress to a holiday party held at a photo studio – I paired it with skin coloured cropped tights to add some warmth. The photo studio had a Dior-themed room, and my Blue Botanical Floral print perfectly coordinated with the Dior Toile de Jouy fabric!
In case you’re not familiar with AW Bridal, they are a dress store that carry an amazing selection of bridal, bridesmaid and party dresses. You can order from their ready made size options OR you could input your measurements for a customized dress. For this dress, I customized the length (I wanted to wear this with mid-size heels) and I asked for the leg slit to be removed. This is my second dress from AW bridal – I also ordered the ANN dress in Peach Blossom Breeze (see pic below) for my birthday dinner in the summer.
My favourite part of ordering from AW Bridal is that you have so many different dress designs to choose from. Once you find the design you want, you can pick them in the exact colour and fabric you need. They have so many shades within each colour family – this is especially perfect if you are purchasing coordinating bridesmaid dresses. For me, their floral options have my heart! I already own Blue Botanical Floral and Peach Blossom Breeze – and for my next order I would love to get the Tea Green Shade with dark green flowers and leaves on a mint green background.
When it comes to selection and value – I would highly recommend AW bridal dresses. The quality reminds me of dresses I’ve tried on and purchased from Abercrombie and Ever New. In fact, I would say that these are even more special because of the built-in bras and structured fabric. In addition. the price point of these dresses is significantly cheaper. Since these items are prepared internationally, you do have to allow for customization and shipping time – but as long as you plan ahead, this will not be an issue.
I think an AW dress would be a great option if you were looking for dresses for prom, graduation, wedding guest dresses and holiday parties!
Have you ordered from AW Bridal before? Which of these dresses do you prefer – the ANN or the THALIA?
