The Louis Vuitton Poche Toilette 26 has been on my radar ever since I spotted it on @brookecarriehil about a year ago. It is sold as a toiletry pouch – but a lot of people use it as a clutch. In Canada, it’s listed on the Louis Vuitton website as “Toiletry Pouch 26” and retails for $475 plus tax.

Since it’s such a classic item – it’s also pretty easy to find on the preloved market. I purchased mine for under $200 from an LV reseller in Japan (I had it authenticated over on TPF). Since it’s just a fun accessory and not an investment piece – I didn’t want to pay full price for it!
When it comes to preloved purchases (like my vintage Coach bag), I like to thoroughly wash the item before using it. I used the same cleaning technique I outlined here – and conditioned the leather tab with Apple Leather Conditioner.
I think the newer clutches are more structured, while the preloved ones may soften over time – but I don’t mind – as mine works perfectly for me. I think my clutch looks best paired with casual outfits – especially with jeans. For this post – I wore this sweater dress from ROMWE – it’s one-size and under $30. It’s an easy cold weather outfit – and holds up well even after washing. And I’m still loving my Pink Pom Pom hat from Amazon – it’s under $20 and the fleece lining keeps me so warm!
I recently received a gift certificate from GEOX, and picked out these Meldi Riding Boots. They’re from the Amphibiox line, which combines water repellent material with a breathable sole. You can wear them in rain or snow – and are the perfect choice for when you’re dressed up and need your footwear to look elegant too!
Have you seen the LV Toiletry Pouch being used as a clutch? Would you carry one? I love the fact that I can switch between wearing it as a clutch or using it for my toiletries!
