I got the early train on Friday morning and headed downtown for Biotherm’s Valentine’s Day Breakfast, held in Cruda Cafe at the St. Lawrence Market.
I had a lovely time catching up with blog friends while enjoying freshly squeezed juice and mini-fruit jars. (With Jenny from Crazy Style Love and Elaine from Toronto BeautyReviews)
The event was held to commemorate Biotherm’s Valentine’s Day collaboration with artist Olivia Mew – she designed a not-so-typical yet oh-so-practical range of cards for Biotherm (see the “tu sens bon” card next to my coffee cup in the first picture – isn’t it gorgeous?) Available at Biotherm counters, each card comes with a his or hers skincare sample! She also spent Valentine’s Day creating personalized illustrations for lucky customers at the Hudson Bay on Queen Street. I had such a fun time chatting with Olivia at the breakfast about our mutual love of England. She promised to create a drawing for me – I’ll be sure to add it here when I get it!
Biotherm is a luxury skincare brand owned by L’Oreal. Its products are inspired by the healing powers of thermal water. The Aquasource line uses nutrient-rich plankton and sugar-based Mannose to provide ultimate hydration benefits to the skin.
Leighton Meester has recently been signed as Biotherm’s Global
Ambassador. I think she’s the perfect choice – you couldn’t pick a
better face for luxurious skincare than Gossip Girl’s Blair Waldorf!
As we left the event, we were gifted with Biotherm tote bags designed by
Olivia Mew. They contained Biotherm’s original star product – Aquasource gel, as well as the Deep Serum and Night Jelly. Will definitely update on how these products work out for me.
If you’d like to see more of Olivia Mew’s work, check out her website here.

Heee – it was so great seeing you! Loved catching up 🙂
Thanks Elaine – EVERYTHING is so much more fun when you're there – so glad we got to hang out 🙂
How fun that you got to attend a blogger meetup! Love your outfit and love the way you styled your sequins so perfectly for daytime. You always make it look effortless. And P.S. I feel that you did not fit your fashion horoscope so I'll be interested to see what you think! I see you more as a Pisces. 🙂 -GinaOn the Daily Express
Thanks Gina – I love living in Toronto as there are always a lot of fun blog events going on 🙂 In terms of the style horoscopes you posted – I definitely like Aquarius (Lauren Conrad) and Taurus (Jessica Alba)…although I'd take Pisces Olivia Palermo any day 🙂 I do think Jessica Simpson is terribly cute, but we don't share the same style at all!
What a fun event! I think it's great that it was at breakfast too – most important meal of the day 🙂 I love the girls you attended it with. Fabulous ladies!
Thanks Noelle – it was a fun event – and nice to explore a part of Toronto I don't usually visit!
I'm really jealous that you're just there chillin with Jenny, although I'm also quite jealous of her just chillin with you! All three of you ladies are beautiful! I need to seek out more local blogger events!I haven't tried Biotherm before, but you've got my interest peaked! And I'm loving the sequins and wellies!morepiecesofme.com
