Millennials have grown up with the latest technology at their fingertips – so you can’t blame them for being obsessed with selfies, nor for expecting instant gratification. And when it comes to makeup, it’s no surprise that their preferred makeup products are ones that get you selfie-ready in a flash!

I’ve been testing a makeup range that is perfect for Millennials – the Estee Edit. Estee Lauder recently launched this Sephora exclusive collection, featuring ‘products with attitude’ curated by high profile Guest Editors. The first two editors are IT-girls Kendall Jenner and Irene Kim.
If you follow me on Snapchat or Instagram (@ellaprettyblog), you may have seen me trying out products during the Estee Edit Launch Party. I brought home a couple of my favourite products and have been using them over the past month – here are my thoughts:
Flash Photo Powder – this blue-tinted powder brightens skin – and is meant to provide a glowing “photo-filter” effect in real life. I apply it on top of my foundation, and it definitely transforms it to look more airbrushed. While I’ve used loose-milled powders that provide a similar effect, I LOVE that this comes in a compact, because this is the perfect product to keep in your bag for touch-ups.
The Barest Blush in 03 Purr Pink – this blush range is formulated to replicate a natural flushed look. I’ve found it to be very finely milled – so it goes on smoothly and is very easy to blend. And while it looks natural, it has strong colour payoff, so you can build it up if you prefer a stronger blush effect.
Mattified Lipstick (11 You’re Welcome) – this lipstick is lightweight yet full coverage, and incorporates nourishing oils such as Jojoba in its formulation. I loved it because it provides strong colour yet doesn’t feel thick or waxy.
Lip Flip Shade Transformers (01 Turn Up and 02 Turn Down) – now these are one of the most unique products in the range. Two lipcolours that you can layer over your favourite lipstick, to make them brighter or darker. Of the two, I prefer the lighter shade, as I found that it blended in seamlessly over my existing lipsticks. As you can see in my swatch, Turn Down does not blend in as completely as Turn Up does.

There are two products in the range that I still want to try out – Flash Photo Gloss – a lipgloss with blue pearl particles, that make your teeth look whiter, and Hi-Lo Stylo – a two-in-one contour & highlight pencil!
What is your favourite #selfie ready makeup product?
DISCLAIMER: Estee Edit products were sent to me by PR, but I selected the shades I wanted to try.
You look so beautiful in both outfits! I especially love the yellow pencil skirt and flowy white top. So I ended up going to Sephora and got the lip gloss with blue tint and the flash photo powder! I absolutely adore both, and I've been wearing them non-stop! I plan doing a mini review on them but yours is spot on!
