What’s in Store – Affordable Outfits from Amazon & SHEIN

Didn’t February just fly by? For February’s “What’s In Store” post, I’m mainly sharing online finds from Amazon and SHEIN…and then for my March post I’ll hit the mall again.

Let’s start with one of my most favourite but frustrating finds – the Amazon pom pom sweater featured above. I LOVE pom pom sweaters and own QUITE a few, as pictured in this post. But this Amazon sweater is lighter and easier to wear than my chunky Chicwish sweaters – plus it’s SO much cheaper. The only frustrating thing is that the pom pom versions sold out quickly and only the plain sweaters are in stock. I’ve linked the listing above anyway – just in case they add the pom pom ones back at some point!

AMAZON FINDS

In last month’s “What’s In Store” post, I talked about the tie-front Henley top trend. I shared an Abercrombie one – but said I would look for a cheaper option on Amazon. Here’s the one I found – it’s so soft and comfy – and was only $19. (Sizing info – I ordered a Small). I’m also wearing a dupe for the Chanel espadrilles – I have the canvas Target version but this faux leather version is even more chic and comfy!

I had seen this heart sweater on various online boutiques – and took a risk and ordered it from Amazon for $25. I’m so relieved that the actual product was exactly as pictured in the listing photo – it’s pretty good quality and the black heart is made of a cable knit fabric. It’s oversized (I’m wearing a Small) and would work well with both leggings and jeans. There are several colours available – I also liked the grey one and the one with the red heart.

And here’s another look at the pale pink pom pom sweater I love so much – hope they get it back in stock soon!

SHEIN

It may be strange to order summer dresses in winter BUT I’ve had great luck with SHEIN dresses in the past – so when I see a cute dress, I pick it up before it sells out – especially when the prices are so low. This one is a thick linen-y type material and I love the blue stripes – so classic for the summer with a straw hat and tan sandals. It was only $16 and also comes in red or grey.

This pink dress needs a good steaming but I highly recommend it – it’s so pretty and flowy and the fabric seems very durable. It’s a very light material so make sure you have a nude slip to wear underneath it. (By the way – a clothes steamer is my number one tip for making cheap clothes look expensive – here’s the one I have).

White lace tops + distressed jeans are my fail-safe uniform when I don’t know what to wear – so when I see a pretty lace top – I add to cart right away! This one was $18 – and the listing said the fabric didn’t have much stretch, so I sized up to a Medium.

H&M

I do have one in-store try-on. I’m forever obsessed with finding the perfect Burberry-esque trenchcoat (here’s proof) and I loved this chic H&M trenchcoat – the tailoring was perfect and it was a pretty colour – some trenchcoats are too yellow for my liking! Unfortunately I was between sizes – this one fell perfectly on my shoulders but felt a little snug around my waist, but the next size up was too loose..so my trench coat quest continues!

AMAZON BEAUTY & OFFICE

I also wanted to share some of my non-fashion purchases this month – all from Amazon:

  • Pink Makeup Bag – this $20 makeup bag is SUPER popular right now, because the top flap has pockets to store your makeup brushes while the bottom is made up of adjustable compartments. It’s a little bigger than I expected (lunchbox sized) but it seems very practical, and I can’t wait to fill it up and use it when I travel.
  • Ice Roller – I’m obsessed with facial rollers – and keep promising a comprehensive blog post with all the different ones I’ve tried – but there’s so much to say! Ice-rolling has many promised benefits – from treating acne to reducing wrinkles. It’s especially useful when you haven’t had much sleep but want to look fresh and glowing. It also feels really good when you have a headache or neck pain.
  • Blue Light Glasses – staring at our phones and computers all day – we’re exposed to SO much blue light – which can affect our sleep cycle and cause vision issues. At under $20, these blue light blocking glasses are a bargain – and they had a baby pink version – which makes me more likely to wear them! I keep them on my bedside table – but might buy a pair for my desk and another for my handbag.
  • Clear Travel Bags – I usually use ziplocs to store my liquids during air travel – but I liked the look of these TSA-compliant toiletry bags. The bright colour makes them easy to find in your hand luggage – and you get 3 bags for under $10!

I hope you liked this post – let me know which purchase is your favourite!
