Looking Back – Events, Trips, Bags & Friends

2014 started off in my favorite way – surrounded by my dearest family (parents, sister, husband and kids), eating way too much dessert, and lots of hugs and kisses at the stroke of midnight. There is so much I want to achieve in 2014 – but I wanted to start by looking back at all the amazing blog highlights from last year:

EVENTS:

Breakfast at Tiffany’s:

 TIFF with L’Oreal:

:

Toronto Fashion Week with Maybelline & Redken:

SPARK Sessions:

Spring Previews:

TRIPS:

South Carolina:

Muskoka:

Turks & Caicos:

BAGS:

LV Neverfull:

Coach Mini Tanner:

Michael Kors Selma:

 Minkoff Mini MAC:

FRIENDS:

I’ve met so many amazing people through blogging – and interacting with YOU has been the best part of blogging. Thank you to everyone who has read/commented/shared my blog posts – you make blogging SO worthwhile 🙂

A special thank you to:
Elaine & Mehreen – love that I can turn to you 2 for behind-the-scenes advice anytime I need it. And SO glad we live in the same city and get the chance to hang out in person too!
Noelle – You inspire me with your style (twinsies!) and I wanted to let you know how much I appreciate the time you take to consistently comment on my posts – you really are the best!
Lilly / Skylette / Schnelle – gorgeous ladies – I love our interactions on blogs and Instagram!

And finally – here’s to my first best friend. Do you have someone who told you that you were gorgeous when you felt invisible and different from everybody else? Someone who thinks you are amazing and capable of great things? So certain, that you surprise yourself and make their beliefs a reality? A best friend, kindred spirit and soul mate? For me – that person is my sister. I am so blessed to have had her in my life from birth to now. Tomorrow is her birthday and I just wanted to let her know how important she is to me – love you SEESTER!

Looking back, I feel so blessed – here’s to an amazing 2014 for all of us!

Thank you so much, friend! I wish we could meet in "real life". We both started blogging around the same time, and you are one of the only girls I still read daily. So many have come and gone (sadly). It's nice to still be passionate about what we blog about! I hope 2014 is just as wonderful 🙂

How do you turn your mini mac into a shoulder bag? I got mine for Christmas and can't figure it out.Love your blog btw, you're one of the few bloggers I log into blogger wishing for a post from.

Thanks so much Melissa – you're so sweet! Congrats on getting a mini MAC – I've used mine SO much this year – it really is a great bag 😉 Here are my directions for turning it into a shoulder bag – I will try update my Minkoff post with pics at some point as it's easier to show than describe! There are 2 sets of rings on the bag chain – circle ones attached to the bag, and u-shaped ones near the leather shoulder strap. Unclasp the hooks from the circle rings and feed the chain through the circles. Take the clasp and re-attach it onto the u-shaped ring. Now you should have doubled up chain straps on each side.Hope that makes sense 🙂

Meeting Jenny was definitely a highlight from this year – she's as gracious, stylish and gorgeous in person as she is on her blog 🙂 I loved joining in your link-up with Gina – would have participated in all of them if I could have – thanks for hosting them!

Wow what a great year it has been for you- all of those events look like SO much fun and the trips, beautiful! I loooovee Myrtle Beach, SC, is that where you were? I'm so happy that we found each other through blogging now if only we could meet up in person- that would be amazing! I remember stumbling across your blog in the very beginning of my blogging days and like Noelle, said- you are one of the few that I still follow along with. This is exactly why I blog or why I keep on blogging- meeting such wonderful, inspirational, beautiful people like yourself. Thanks, Ella!

Sorry Gina – I tried to approve your comment on my iPhone and ended up deleting it instead!!! So I copied and pasted it in ;-P It's true that blogging requires dedication – but since we write about what we enjoy, it's definitely worth making time for. I'm really glad to have 'met' you too…although my wallet may not thank me for my LONG Express wishlist because of your posts LOL!
