Question of the month (from Andi): What’s your favorite holiday and why?
My favorite holiday was in 2005. Hubby and I traveled to Sorrento in Naples, Italy for our 3rd wedding anniversary. This photo was taken on a day trip to Capri. There were so many things I loved about this trip – the beautiful and bright weather, the vibrant landscape, the gorgeous Italian food (iced coffees, fresh pasta), the amazing leather handbags (of course!) – and SO MUCH HISTORY (I’m a HUGE history buff). Capri was so glamorous (could see why Jackie O loved it) and we visited Vesuvius and Pompeii – places I’d only read about and never imagined I’d be walking through! Would LOVE to go back there someday!

So nice to see your pretty face! Italy is definitely on my must-visit list. I lived about 4 hours away from Italy and I've never been, crazy.
I think Italy is my favorite place to visit EVER! Lucky you to have lived 4 hours away – must have been lovely where you were!
Capri was one of my favorites too, so, so glamorous and beautiful. Naples has the best pizza that I've ever tasted. We also saw Pompeii, it was so surreal to walk those streets, right?
Oh the pizza…why did you remind me LOL? Nothing tastes as good as that! Walking the streets of Pompeii was a dream come true – I remember reading about the excavations when I was a child – somehow, I never imagined I'd go there myself – I LOVED it 🙂

Sounds like the most divine trip ever! I am a fellow lover of Italy, I have family in the Florence area and it's been much too long since I've been there!
Florence is next on my travel wishlist – it looks so gorgeous and I've never been (only been to Rome, Venice and Naples)….so many places to go!
What a dream destination! It really does look like one of the most beautiful places on Earth. It's definitely on my wishlist as well.
It really felt like we had stepped onto a movie set – everything was so vibrant and beautiful!
