First there was the Gucci Dionysus…but I resisted. Then I saw the Blooms print…yet I still managed to stay strong. But when the Gucci Marmont Matelasse bags started popping up – it was a lost cause. I fell in love with the antique gold toned hardware and the quilted chevron design – I knew I needed to buy one!

While their shoulder bags are one of the most popular styles (they resemble the classic Chanel flap bag), I knew I’d be using mine as an evening bag, so I opted for the mini Wallet on a Chain.
COMPARING GUCCI MARMONT TO CHANEL WALLET ON A CHAIN (WOC)
Here’s what it looks like next to my Chanel Wallet on a Chain. In terms of size, the Gucci one holds more – it is 8.5w x 5.5h x 1d while my Chanel one is 7.5w x 4.5h x 1.8d. They are both small bags though – and work best when you only carry your essentials.
WHAT FITS INSIDE
Here’s what I can fit inside my bag – my phone, wallet, some makeup and my business cards (for blog events). If I need to carry my key case, I have to remove my wallet and place some cards and cash in the card slots. Alternatively, I can just pick out my house key and carry it loose in my bag.
DIFFERENT WAYS OF WEARING IT
Depending on how you place the chain – there are at least 4 different ways of wearing the Gucci Marmont Matelasse Wallet on a Chain – I usually wear mine crossbody or on my shoulder.

Here are some of my other favourite Gucci picks – if I had an unlimited budget – I’d definitely choose this Blooms Wallet on a Chain – it’s gorgeous!

Love, love this bag. One day when I can afford it maybe.
It's definitely a bag worth waiting for – I love the colours and I feel like it's classic rather than trendy, so it will always be in style.
I love this bag! I'm trying to decide which one to get myself!!
