I love finding hidden gems at Winners – on my last visit I found this white tray and sparkly candle – just what I needed for my coffee table!
I purchased this camisole top during the GUESS winter sale using my $20 giftcard from the #PRESSDAYS event. It will be perfect to layer under a wrap sweater when I’m lounging around the house – a lot more glam than my usual tank tops!
Speaking of lounging around – I was feeling crafty over Winter Break and made these glove animals as New Year’s presents for my kids (I confess…the one in the middle is for me!!! Doesn’t she look like Hello Kitty?). I followed this tutorial from Martha Stewart – and sewed on buttons and pieces of felt to make the faces. This is a great craft to make – the materials are easy to source (gloves from the dollar store!) and the steps are very simple. It especially helps if you do it in a group/assembly line – my mother, sister and I made 5 of these in total – with my mother on the sewing machine and my sister in charge of stuffing.
And now for my exciting news…you can tell from my blog that I LOVE to shop…so what could be more perfect for me than joining Yummy Mummy Club as their Shopping Blogger? So excited for this new role – check out my first post here.
I’ll leave you with 2 recent outfits – with the deep cold setting in, I need all the layers I can get.

UPDATE:
I also made some POM POM puppies for my kids recently – here’s my daughter’s puppy. I followed the instructions in this book – luckily all the supplies (except for scissors) came in the kit, so it was really easy to make!
Of course, I adore both of your outfits here. 🙂 And congrats on being the Shopping Blogger for YMC! Very exciting! Off to check out your first post! -GinaOn the Daily Express
Thanks Gina – it's such an exciting opportunity and I'm really looking forward to this new role 🙂
love the sweater from the last look, is so pretty 🙂 xoxohttp://sbr-fashion-fashion.blogspot.com/
Thanks Andy – I'm so glad I ordered it from Old Navy – it was a bargain and so pretty too!
I have the same sequin sweater from Old Navy! Loving the embellished sweatshirt trend lately. They're so cute and cozy.http://noreceipts.blogspot.com
Yes – I'm really loving the embellished sweatshirts too – makes dressing up fun AND comfortable 🙂
Love love love that white sweater from Old Navy
Thanks Nichole – I love it too 🙂
I love your coffee table arrangement and those little stuffed animals are ADORABLE! Congrats on your new venture- so exciting! You have such an eye for style finding that jacket in the boys section- love it!
The Walmart jacket was a lucky find – I had been looking EVERYWHERE for a slim fitting military jacket – funny that the perfect one was sitting in the boys department. It was super-cheap – BUT the workmanship is the same as jackets I've seen at ZARA for $80+!
P.S I just checked out the tutorial and your stuffed animals are wayyyy cuter than Martha's. I'm telling you- sell them! haha
You crack me up Schnelle! I wish I had the patience to make more of them 🙂 We lucked out using the $ store gloves – they're much smooshier so the faces turned out cute and easy to sculpt.
Those little toys are unbelievably cute!! Great outfits, and I am so impressed by your amazing finds at Winners – I've never been able to find anything there. Congrats on blogging for YMC!!! 🙂
Thanks so much Louise ! My problem is I ALWAYS find something at Winners – it's hard for me to leave empty-handed ;-P
That's great news! So exciting! 🙂
Thanks Alexa – I'm very excited 😉
Kohl's had Jeweled Grey Sweatshirts. They are pretty and inexpensive.
Thanks Shannon – good to know there are some inexpensive & cute options out there 🙂
Your decorating style is so chic… I need you to just come decorate for me and we can make a girl's weekend of it! I love your style!!
Would LOVE to do that anytime 🙂 I try to decorate any corner of the house that is not over-run by toys (story of my life LOL!)
Love the coffee table arrangement, looks very chic! And as always, love both of your looks! You always do such an amazing job with layering.
Thanks Lilly – I love following your decor pins on pinterest – I think we both like the same type of decor 😉 Now if only sourcing and decorating items was as easy as pinning the picture for me LOL!
