Question of the month (from Andi): If you were stranded on an island–which one album and which one book would you want to have with you?
Album: Hard to pick a favorite album, as I like mixes and playlists better than listening to one album. If I had to choose one I’d go with: Grandes Exitos de Juan Luis Guerra – an album my sister introduced me to when she was going through her salsa/merengue dancing phase. It’s impossible to feel sad or sit still while listening to this . My favorite songs are: Guavaberry & Senorita (p.s. neither of us speak Spanish but we love these songs anyway!)
Book: I’m such a bookworm – it’s impossible to choose just 1 book – I’m going to cheat and take a boxset – The Little House on the Praire Collection. Don’t laugh! I know they’re children’s books but I loved reading them when I was a child and I love reading them now – a whole family working hard and making the best of every situation? So inspiring and uplifting. Plus I’m sure I’ll pick up a few survival tips from the books to help me adjust to life on a Desert Island!
Would love to hear what you guys would choose – especially for books. I’m always looking for more reading material…and I don’t just read children’s books LOL!

Haha, there is nothing wrong with Little House on the Praire! I used to love those too! This was a fun question! It's always hard to choose though 🙂
It is so hard to choose – especially with the books – I'm ALWAYS reading – finding new books and rereading my favorites, there's nothing I like better 🙂
I used to love Little House on the Prairie! I spent many an afternoon playing that with my friends and little brother outside (where kids used to play! lol). I'm such a reader too, choosing one book is so hard! I am so downloading some of those awesome salsa songs-they'll be great on my workout playlist!
You should definitely download the songs – I was playing this album while cooking today..it made everything more fun!Playing Little House on the Prairie sounds like so much fun – I have so many happy childhood memories associated with these books – I even dressed up like Laura for a book report 😛
Salsa is the best for working out and staying motivated! My husband lived in Mexico for a few years and loves anything that takes him back to those years!
Your husband must have had such an amazing experience in Mexico! I definitely need to play more music – I've been low on energy recently, and I think this might help.
I loved Little House on the Prairie when I was little! My mom actually saved all of my books so they're in storage somewhere.
I think these books are so good for children, they are fascinating and highlight good behavior without being preachy- I can't wait to read these books to my kiddies!
