You know that type of cold that chills you so deeply that even your bones feel frozen? How do you warm yourself back up? Of course, it’s important to prevent yourself from getting too cold in the first place – I always bundle up in warm clothes: cable knit sweaters, warm hats, fleece-lined leggings, high boots – the works!

To thaw out, hot drinks and snug blankets are a good starting point…But I don’t feel completely “unfrozen” until I’ve had a hot shower. I know a lot of people love baths in winter, but I prefer showers – there’s no need to wait for the tub to fill up, and the hot water creates a mini-steam room around me. And to make the whole experience feel like a treat, I like to use a nourishing shower gel.
Two of my current favourites are these Dial body washes:
- Dial Greek Yogurt Body Wash – This body wash is formulated with real yogurt proteins for super-soft, moisturized skin. The creamy white gel has a sweet Vanilla Honey scent. It lathers easily and feels fresh and light. I like to use it first thing in the morning, as the fresh formula helps wake me up.
- Dial Miracle Oil with Caring Marula Oil Body Wash – This is such a luxe body wash – it’s the perfect first step when preparing for a special night out. It contains Marula Oil, which is derived from a tree nut. This rich antioxidant oil nourishes your skin and helps protect it from free radical damage. I LOVE the Blue Lotus scent – give it a sniff the next time you spot it in store – I promise you’ll be hooked!
Both of these body washes produce a rich lather, yet rinse clean without leaving any filmy residue. My skin always feels soft and moisturized after using these – I’ve even been tempted to skip my post-shower body lotion! The body washes retail for $6.99 and can be found at national retailers including: Shoppers Drug Mart, Walmart, and Loblaws. For more information on Dial products, check out their Facebook and Instagram pages.
Do you have any favourite shower gels to use in the colder months? I’d love to hear your faves!

I love this outfit! I have been wearing a similar beanie a ton lately and I think I should blog it 🙂 I always feel silly in hats but these type are darling in a casual way. I think I've tried the dial body washes but because of my eczema I had to switch 🙁
Love your outfit! so cute. also I love baths but I'm the same way as you once I get back home and I've been really cold I have to have a hot shower to actually feel warm. I like the Dial body washes but I have very sensitive skin with eczema and so much dryness that I had to switch unfortunately. xoThe Fashionista Bubble
