Holiday Ouftit Ideas – What to Wear to Brunch, Office Parties, Family Get-Togethers and New Years

For our latest collaboration with Oshawa Centre, I met up with my blogger besties and put together outfit ideas on what to wear to various festive events. I chose a glam holiday look – perfect for a New Years Eve party!

Dressing up for holiday parties is so much fun, because you can incorporate multiple luxe textures (sparkles / metallics / faux fur) in one outfit. I picked out a shimmery satin dress from H&M, and paired it with a GAP faux fur vest for warmth.

I draped the vest over my shoulders for a more evening appropriate look. To add some extra sparkle, I selected this fun glitter lip clutch from ALDO.

New Years Eve parties tend to last a LONG time – so I invested in a pair of Naturalizer heels. They look like classic nude pumps – but they feel like you’re wearing flats. You HAVE to try them on to see what I mean – they’re total game changers! I’m thinking about buying a pair in every colour.

Mixing textures within the same colour scheme is an easy way to put together a holiday party outfit. Choose a colour (I opted for pale pink – but there are so many pretty options – gold, silver or even jewel tones such as burgundy or navy) and then pick out items with different textures, such as satin, faux fur, glitter and shimmer.

I love the combination of satin and faux fur – as they both feel very glamorous – but if you’re going to wear them together – don’t forget to pick up some static guard spray. It didn’t even occur to me – but luckily Mandy was prepared!
