I’m all about designer dupes these days! I’m a pretty cautious spender – so I only like to pay designer prices for items that are classic AND won’t get ruined easily.

In today’s post – I’m sharing two designer dupes. The first are these floral mules – pretty much identical to the Gucci Princetown Leather slippers. There’s a fine line between an inspiration and a copy – and I’ll be the first to admit that this pair is a little too much on the copy side!
I enjoy having a “look for less” but I don’t want to pretend I’m wearing designer goods when I’m not – so I’d prefer it if the floral applique was different to the Gucci one. A word of warning if you order these shoes – mine had a very strong chemical odor to them. I aired them out for days and then actually washed them in soap and water. On the plus side – they survived a thorough soaking!
This pretty bag from Aldo is definitely inspired and not an exact copy! It reminds me of a mix between the Prada Cahier Astrology bag and the Gucci Disco bag. I don’t think I’d buy a designer bag in this pretty shade of pink, because I’d worry too much about colour transfer. In fact, I’ve already noticed darker patches on the pink fabric – but
I’m not as upset as I would be if I had spend hundreds or thousands on

And I would recommend this bag – it also comes in black or blue! I took mine on our recent trip to London (pictured above) and it was the perfect travel bag – roomy enough for my cell phone plus battery pack, and the wide (p)leather strap made it comfy to wear all day. It’s so pretty with the pink fabric, gold accents and the removable tassel.
Is there anything that you’re looking for a dupe for? I love a challenge – let me know and I’ll try to come up with a suggestion!
