Fall Florals with Le Chateau

While I’ve made it clear how I feel about Fall style  – there is ONE Fall trend I’ve been loving – Muted Florals. Delicate floral prints are commonly found in Spring and Summer, but this year – I’m excited to see that they have ALSO been adapted for Fall.

This week’s “Ten Take Fall” Collab asks “What is your favourite Fall trend?

With my love of all things feminine, it’s no surprise that Muted Florals are my favourite trend. I love how the traditional floral print is transformed when set against autumnal colours such as Olive or Burgundy.

This Le Chateau dress is everything I could want in a Fall dress. It has a distinctive design – with tulip split-sleeves and a muted floral print This lets it stand alone, without the need for further accessories (although it would also look cute layered with a faux fur vest). You could pair the dress with ankle booties – but I was so excited that my over-the-knee boots arrived, that I opted to wear them instead. Because the dress is slightly longer than the boots – it almost looks like I’m wearing leggings!

Gorgeous! I think I prefer dark moody florals over your typical springtime looks. The dress looks amazing on you and I hope you wear it often!

That dress looks comfortable and well-cut – and the sleeves are so wonderfully unusual! It's been my impression that Le Chateau has been struggling to re-establish its identity in recent years. Details like those, which are a departure from what we're seeing in other mall stores, should really be a focus for them. I've been resisting trying over-the-knee boots for SO long, but the Old Navy suede-look ones currently in stores are available online at 40% off. For $32, I can certainly afford to take a chance!

You're so right that Le Chateau should focus on quality, well-designed pieces like this dress. And I LOVE Old Navy shoes – hope you got a good pair 🙂

May I ask how you like those boots? I have been kind of looking for an affordable OTK boot. I saw the link from your website the boot looks quite fitted, but they kind of loose on you. I think OTKs look best when they have no wrinkling, just my personal preference. Do you recommend these?

Hi! I like these boots and don't think that i would want them to be more fitted, as I plan on wearing them in cold weather with socks and leggings. But I do understand how important fit can be – so I would definitely recommend searching for affordable boots in stores with a good return policy, or where you can try it on in person before committing. I know this year there are a lot of affordable OTK options – not sure if you're in Canada but my friend recently picked up a great pair from Call it Spring.
