Leopard print is EVERYWHERE this season, and I’ve been on the hunt for a faux fur leopard coat.
How do you guys feel about leopard print? I think it’s one of those tricky trends that can look chic or tacky, depending on how you style it. Click through for details on how I found this coat, followed by some tips on the different ways to wear it.
Saks OFF 5TH is hosting an outerwear sale from November 7 to 19, with 30% off all outerwear coats and cold weather accessories. I’ve partnered with them to preview their current offerings. I visited the Sherway location and saw several dreamy coats – I’ve shared some below and the rest are over on my insta-stories.
It was hard picking between the Teddy Bear coat and the Leopard Print coat, as they’re both very on trend this season. While the Teddy Bear coat was oversized and cozy, in the end I opted for the Leopard Print coat because it seemed like a piece that would work with both casual and formal outfits. It’s from the Saks Fifth Avenue brand, and is so well-made. Once I put it on, I didn’t want to take it off again – it was THAT soft and comfortable!
After choosing my coat, I headed back to the outerwear section to check out the cold weather accessories. I fell in love with this Fraas plaid and pom pom scarf . I liked the pattern-mixing effect against the leopard print, and at $19 it was a bargain! I can never resist a hat with a huge pom pom, so I also picked out this cozy Crown Cap beanie for $29.
Aside from this plaid pattern-mixing outfit, I’ve also brainstormed some other styling ideas that would work with leopard print and am sharing them below:
You can pattern mix with leopard print, but when in doubt, stick with solid colours, so that your outfit doesn’t look too busy. Leopard looks REALLY good with a pop of red – pair it with red accessories and a red lip when you can!
- The first look continues the pattern-mixing theme, using stripes instead of plaid.
- The second mixes pale pink with black jeans for a feminine look.
- The third combines black and grey with leopard – you could even go all black for an extra chic look.
- The last look is a classic staple – a white top and distressed jeans with nude accents.
What are your thoughts on leopard print – are you a fan or do you find it too loud?

You look so great in everything! I like wearing leopard as an accent because I’m a little shy. It’s sort of irrational that I fear looking too overdone in it because I think it looks amazing on others! I just need to get over it 😉
