I was talking to some bloggers at a recent party, about all the cute prints we’ve been seeing recently – from lemons to pineapples and flamingos. We thought we’d left those prints behind in our childhood – yet here we are, tempted to wear them because they’re so colourful and fresh!

My lemon-print top is actually an off-the-shoulder design, but we all know how I feel about off-the-shoulder tops, so I wore it with the sleeves up. As for my bag, this was the first designer bag I ever bought. Although I purchased it directly from a Gucci store – it’s now over 10 years old – so I guess you could say it’s vintage? I hardly wear it anymore, but after seeing the Dionysus and Blooms bags everywhere, I remembered that I had a Gucci bag (or 3…) of my own in storage!
Now for my summer loves – as a BeautyUnited blogger, I get to try a lot of newly released Proctor & Gamble products. This is especially exciting for me because I adore a lot of their brands – including Covergirl, Pantene and Olay. Here are some of the products that I’ve recently tested and loved!
Portable Gillette Venus Razor and Violet Swirl Shave Gel – thanks to my midi-dress obsession, these are a must-have for my travel bag. I love how smoothly and safely the Gillette Venus razors shave my legs – I can speed through the shaving process without worrying about nicking my legs! And the fact that it’s teeny-sized? Too cute!
Covergirl Super Sizer Fibers Mascara – this mascara deposits fibers on my lashes to make them super-long. I like layering this with a volumizing mascara, to create the illusion of false lashes.
Pantene Pro-V Airspray – I’ve been raving about this hairspray to all my friends. It holds my curls in place for DAYS not HOURS. Usually, my hair struggles to hold a curl – yet when I use this, I still have RINGLETS two days later…so crazy! (This white bottle is the anti-humidity version – I’ve mainly been using the original formula in the golden bottle.)
Katy Perry’s Matte Lipstick – you can tell that a lot of work has been put into formulating this lipstick. It only takes one swipe for super-pigmented coverage, yet it feels so light on my lips. Some matte lipsticks feel cakey and thick, but this is just weightless! It is made with a lot of shea butter – and I’m convinced that’s why it smells so sweet! My two favourite shades are Magenta Minx and Coral Cat.
By the way – if you liked the yellow earrings I’m wearing in the first pic – you might want to head over to your nearest H&M. They have such an amazing selection of brightly coloured earrings – and the prices keep going down. I paid full price (around $15) for the yellow pair, but I’ve picked up the rest over time. They first went on sale for $5-7 and are now on clearance for….$1!!! I’ve also bought a couple of their summer clutches and totes – and bag charms and tassels! P.S. Check out my snapchat “ellaprettyblog” for my latest H&M haul!
Have you checked out H&M recently? Any faves?
I love that cute printed top on you! I can't even tell it's off the shoulder lol. I really want to try the Katy perry lipsticks! I'm not sure I've even seen them in stores yet, but I also have been trying to stay away from that section because I own so many lip products 😉
